Synergy Enterprises, Inc. (Synergy) supports the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Center for Global Health (CGH) in its efforts to work with other countries by assisting in global cancer control planning. Synergy works to achieve this by implementing programs to strengthen cancer prevention, screening, early diagnosis, and treatment; supporting capacity-building efforts to train healthcare providers and scientists in specific clinical and research skills; and coordinating and supporting the development of initiatives and networks to facilitate U.S.-foreign collaborations in cancer research. In support of this effort, we focus on four task areas: (1) portfolio analysis, (2) program evaluation, (3) logistical support for scientific conferences, and (4) science and technical writing. We conduct portfolio analyses of NCI funding streams as well as process and outcome evaluations of CGH-sponsored programs. Synergy uses current statistical methods to compile and analyze data from a variety of sources for reports on topics of interest to CGH as well as writing and presentation support. Synergy also manages logistics for domestic and international meetings and conferences.
