Research Associate

Synergy Enterprises, Inc., a minority and woman owned government contractor located in Silver Spring, MD, currently has an opportunity for a part-time, as needed employee as a Research Associate. The research associate will work closely with program staff, provide program support, review and edit publications, manage the evaluation process, and provide high-level client support.   

 

 

 

  • Point person for task to update training workbooks with up to date Medicare program benefits, rules, regulations, and protections.  A strong Medicare background if essential for this task.
    • Participate in weekly calls to discuss task.
    • Review draft documents to ensure all feedback is incorporated, and ensure correct formatting.  
  • Workshop task:
    • Develop agendas for each Medicare Regional Workshops, and ensure updated are made on the registration website.
    • Manage the process to evaluate conference attendees at the conclusion of the Regional Workshops.  Task includes but not limited to, working with the client to develop evaluation questions, providing client approved text to the evaluation team, and reviewing evaluations prior to dissemination to ensure the document is consistent with the final agenda.
    • Coordinate with IT to correctly upload meeting presentations, as received from CMS.
    • Provide onsite support at Regional Trainings.

 

  • Strong preference for someone with experience in the Medicare field.
  • Team player able to jump in and take on any task as needed.
  • Self-starter with strong time management and multitasking skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

  • Physical demands:  While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; stoop; bend; push; turn; crawl; sit; use hands to handle objects and documents; manipulate objects; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.  Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to        pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; ability to recognize, register, and respond; color recognition; depth perception. Employee may use office equipment such as telephone, computer, computer software, calculator, printer, copier, and facsimile. 
  • Work environment: Employees are not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
