The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) is hosting this meeting to discuss strategies for encouraging drug abuse research in cooperation with the Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) Consortium (http://www.ctsaweb.org/). The meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 26th at the Neuroscience Center in North Bethesda, Maryland (NIDA Headquarters Building, 6001 Executive Boulevard). NIDA is committed to fostering drug abuse research in cooperation with the CTSA Consortium’s efforts. This meeting will look to bring together representatives of CTSA, National Center for Research Resources (NCRR), and NIDA leadership, along with drug abuse researchers, to discuss ways to build and strengthen collaborations. Much of the day will be dedicated to discussion with all attendees. In addition, an afternoon break-out session will allow small groups an opportunity to discuss selected brief research concept sheets, using the concept sheets as a foundation for exploring strategies for developing drug abuse research in cooperation with CTSA sites.
