Continuing Education Credits
This activity has been planned and
implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the
Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through
the joint sponsorship of the National Institute on Drug Abuse, National
Institutes of Health/Foundation for Advanced Education in the Sciences (NIH/FAES),
and The University of Miami. The NIH/FAES is accredited by the ACCME to
provide continuing medical education for physicians.
A CME/CEU/CE Information Booth will be staffed at the conference during
open registration hours. Attendees may address specific questions about
continuing education, receive appropriate forms to be completed for
individual organizations, and fill out signup sheets as appropriate.

Additional Educational Opportunity
The American Psychiatric Association, in collaboration with the Florida
Psychiatric Society, will present
"Buprenorphine and Office-Based Treatment of Opioid Dependence" on
Sunday, June 5, at the Sheraton Bal Harbor Hotel. This 8-hour course
will provide information and training to participants interested in
learning about the treatment of opioid dependence and, in particular, to
physicians who wish to provide office-based treatment of opioid
dependence with buprenorphine. The course satisfies the Federal training
requirement for physicians. Pharmacists, nurses, counselors, and other
health professionals are also invited to attend. |
