In a global atmosphere of change and transition, diversification has become increasingly important for business owners. At SEI we continue to diversify our expertise to better serve your purposes. From our on-site and off-site subject matter expert pool to our growing information technology department, the human and technical resources we offer have broadened and deepened. With that, the portfolio of agencies we serve and projects we support has become more far-reaching. Ultimately, that is our goal at SEI—to diversify our expertise to meet the unique and ever-changing needs of our clients, so you can turn purpose into action.

SEI Plans Substance Abuse/Comorbidities Among Military Personnel Meeting

SEI Manages HUD HOPE for
Homeowners Training Conference

In the midst of our nation’s housing crisis, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) assembled housing industry experts for the HOPE for Homeowners (H4H) Training Conference. SEI, under contract to HUD, provided logistical support for the Federal Housing Administration training conference, held from November 13 through 14 in Atlanta, Georgia, at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis Hotel. SEI Staffer, DeLicia Ballard, Supports
First Generation College Bound

Delicia Ballard

For the past 3 years, DeLicia Ballard, assistant director of Communication Services at SEI, has helped support parents, caregivers, and students from low and moderate income families involved in First Generation College Bound (FGCB). Based in Laurel, Maryland, FGCB serves Baltimore-Washington corridor students in grades K through 12 through three programs—GEAR UP, which provides 5-year grants to States and partnerships providing services at high-poverty middle and high schools; College Access, which helps students monitor and plan their application process and identify funding resources; and the Homework Club, where first grade through high school students go once a week for homework and other supplemental assistance. DeLicia edits and designs FGCB’s newsletter, The College Bounder and assists with public relations outreach. In the past, DeLicia served as a tutor for FGCB’s Homework Club. FGCB was recently recognized by the Prince George's County Department of Housing and Community Development for being the Community Development Block Grant project “with the greatest community impact.”
