Welcome

The purpose of this meeting is to develop a research agenda to generate science that improves the ability of primary care medical homes to meet the needs of patients with or at risk of addictive disorders and misuse of illicit drugs and prescribed medications. This includes research aimed at

• Identifying, developing, and improving interventions and services strategies appropriate to primary care
• Promoting, establishing, and sustaining linkages with providers of addiction treatment for patients who need interventions outside of primary care.
Investigating optimal financing and payment mechanisms to facilitate the efficient, effective service production and linkages.
