Project Descriptions
Projects
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). SEI designers and programmers developed a secure electronic evaluation tool—using existing benchmarks for health care delivery—to collect and deliver information related to the quality of care provided in ICE detainee medical treatment facilities. To manage and analyze data collected during evaluation visits to detention facilities, SEI established a secure Web application with several data fields to manage information about each facility, including such information as type of facility, geographic location, number of detainees served, and detainee/health care provider ratio. Data are collected and stored in compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act regulations.
Evaluation tool functions include the following:
- Real-time data analytics
- Secure login
- Exporting of data in various formats
- A dynamic reporting generation module
Tools used include the following:
- Microsoft SQL Server 2005
- Visual Studio 2008
- .NET Framework 3.5
- IIS 6.0
