This unique, 2-day conference invited addiction practitioners, clinicians, health care providers, criminal justice professionals, researchers, policymakers and others to learn about the latest research findings and successful prevention, early intervention and treatment approaches from top experts who played key roles in designing science-based treatment programs – and from practitioners, who implemented these programs across the country.

Over 1200 individuals registered at the 2008 NIDA Blending Conference* and attendees documented their satisfaction, excitement, and gratitude about their Blending Conference experience. Participants added that the Blending Conference provided a unique opportunity to network with leaders, researchers, and other addiction professionals. Further 2008 feedback reported:

• Nearly 75% respondents indicated that they intended to change their clinical practice as a result of attending the Blending Conference.
• After a six-month follow-up, 65% stated that they had already exchanged information from the Blending Conference with researchers, community treatment professionals and other groups.
• 99% indicated that they would recommend a colleague to attend a future NIDA Blending Conference
