Our History
Like many successful small business owners, Prachee J. Devadas, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President of Synergy Enterprises, Inc. (SEI) used her kitchen as the company's first office. She founded SEI in 2003 and the following year she and SEI's three employees moved into a modest downtown Silver Spring, Maryland, office. During its first year SEI won five contracts and the company has since expanded steadily, thanks to an unwavering focus on providing excellence and innovation in every task, for every client. SEI's collaborative approach and positive growth resulted in President Barack Obama inviting Ms. Devadas to a meeting at the Oval Office in June, 2010, followed by a press conference at the Rose Garden, during which he singled out SEI's success as representative of the promise of opportunity in America.
Since its inception, SEI has remained committed not only to creative and effective collaboration with clients, but also to fostering the professional and personal growth of its employees. The value of SEI's corporate leadership in improving the quality of life of all employees is evidenced by an 85 to 90 percent retention rate and an employee referral program that has resulted in 17 new and cross division hires. In 2010 alone, more than 20 SEI employees participated in 38 professional development, training, educational, and human resource activities.
