Call for Exhibits
The U.S. Department of Education is inviting interested organizations to respond to a Call for Exhibits for the 2012 21st Century Community Learning Center Summer Institute. Approximately 2,500 individuals are expected to attend the two-day event, which is being held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, LA July 30 – August 1, 2012. 2012.
Submissions for consideration as an exhibitor at the 21st CCLC Summer Institute will be reviewed by a committee and selected based on the extent to which the products or services offered meet the goals of the 21st CCLC program and the target audience of grantees and State Education Agency representatives. Please note that there needs to be a minimum of 25 organizations approved to exhibit at the Summer Institute, otherwise we will not be able to host exhibits at the conference.
The exhibit display area hours are planned to be from July 31st at 7:00 a.m. through August 1st at 4:30 p.m. As the agenda is not finalized, these times may change, however the dates of the exhibit will remain the same. Please note that the exhibit area will be closed during Plenary Sessions.
Exhibitors will be responsible for all costs regarding their exhibit, including booth rental and any other needs such as A/V equipment, electrical services, shipping, travel, and hotel charges. The base cost, which includes a 10 X 10 booth and a 6-foot table, will vary depending on the total number of exhibitors, and will range from $252.50 up to $590.00. If approved, you will receive packages with full information regarding the exhibits (including order forms, payment instructions, and setup details) from the exhibit vendor, Freeman Decorating.

- Only applications submitted online will be considered.
- Applications must be submitted by May 31, 2012
- Those who submit applications will be notified of the Department of Education’s decision as soon as possible, but no later than June 15, 2012.
Once you have completed the online form, your information will be made available for review by the U.S. Department of Education. If you are selected as an exhibitor at the 2012 21st Century Community Learning Centers Summer Institute, it does not constitute an endorsement of your products or your organization by the Department of Education or any other federal, state, or local government agency. Additionally, as in previous years, the sale of products is not permitted within meeting space reserved for the purposes of the 21st CCLC. It is suggested that vendors provide sign-up sheets for mailing lists or scheduling future contact, as an alternative to offering direct sales onsite.
